buttock lift

A buttock lift/beltectomy is a procedure in which Dr. Mosca removes the excess skin and fatty tissues from the posterior upper buttocks and lower back in order to lift a sagging amount of skin in the cases of massive weight loss. This can give the lower buttocks and lateral thigh area a more youthful appearance with less sagging and creasing.

REDUCE SAGGING

Sagging skin from massive weight loss or aging is lifted back into a more youthful position and all the extra skin is removed.

LIFT BUTTOCKS DUE TO WEIGHT LOSS

With massive weight loss, the body shrinks in size, but the skin looks deflated and atrophic.  In these instances where skin did not retract, a removal of skin is necessary, as done with a buttocks lift.

IMPROVE

DEFORMITY

The lower buttocks will fold onto itself, occasionally several times, giving a deflated appearance that needs to be lifted and resected.

IS A BUTTOCK LIFT THE SAME AS A FAT TRANSFER?

A buttock lift differs from a fat transfer in that the buttock lift, or posterior beltectomy, lifts and removes excess sagging skin of the buttocks and leaves the patient with a scar across the top of the buttocks to remove sagging skin.

RECOVERY TIME?

Recovery from a  posterior beltectomy, or buttocks lift, 1 month prior to activity.

CAN I COMBINE THIS SURGERY?

Typically, Dr. Mosca does not combine this surgery with any other procedure due to the restrictive positioning afterwards and lack of mobility.

CAN DR.MOSCA ADD FAT TO BUTTOCK DURING THIS SURGERY?

On occasion, Dr. Mosca can combine this procedure with fat grafting in order to give more volume to the deflated buttocks.
